“Crown of Sacrifice” is one of the most emotional pieces I’ve ever painted — a moment of pain, faith, and love captured in color and light. This work represents the ultimate act of sacrifice, where suffering becomes the doorway to redemption. It’s a deeply personal piece — one that reflects my own journey through struggle, faith, and the healing power of art.

The image of Christ on the cross has always moved me. It’s not just a religious symbol — it’s a portrait of endurance, compassion, and forgiveness in the face of unthinkable pain. In this painting, I wanted to go beyond depiction and bring forward the feeling — the weight, the sorrow, and also the peace that comes from surrender.

Every brushstroke was layered with emotion. The deep blues and purples in the background suggest both storm and spirit — the turmoil of the moment, yet the divine calm that follows. The light touches of red across His wounds remind us of the humanity within the divine. The crown of thorns, painted in sharp yellows and ochres, contrasts with the softness of His face — the meeting of agony and grace.

This piece was not painted quickly. It demanded patience, reflection, and prayer. Each highlight on His skin, each drop of blood, and the curve of His expression were carefully placed to evoke empathy, not despair.
